I interviewed pioneering cyber-feminist artist Lynn Hershman Leeson on the occasion of her retrospective at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. We met in her downtown San Francisco home studio and talked about AI, compassion, gender, and why her work hadn't been exhibited in the Bay Area since 1984.
War veteran and artist Drew Cameron creates paper out of military uniforms and teaches this technique in free workshops around the country. In this 20 minute audio segment, Jozefien Buydens and I visit him in his San Francisco studio to talk art, paper, war, and honey.
Following the heartbreaking and overwhelming response to my month-long stint writing about my experiences of sexual violence on rabble.ca('Women Who Tell'), I'm planning a month-long series about masculinity and nurturing. Contact me if you would like to contribute to this project.
My husband and I are taking our two small children to rural Québec to help another young family in their organic dwarf goat farming endeavors. Stay tuned for updates!

NAOMI is our approach to Motivational Interviewing, incorporating Buddhist ideas of mindfulness and impermanence. It helps people get unstuck!
